NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team lost, 21-18, against Saint Vincent College in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) matchup at home Tuesday night.

Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) broke the school record for most goals in a game with 11. Braddock also broke the school record for points (13), as she earned two assists. Teammate junior
Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) scored six, while sophomore
Michaela Hays (Blairsville, PA / Blairsville) also scored for Westminster (4-9, 4-6 ORLC).
Braddock tied the game at one with a goal at the 27:52 mark of the first half. Saint Vincent (11-3, 8-2 ORLC) scored five-straight goals and led 6-1 with 22:09 remaining. The Titans cut the Bearcats' lead to 6-3 after Braddock scored her second goal of the game (21:42), followed by a score by D'Amico (14:42). Westminster orchestrated a 5-2 run, capped off with a goal by D'Amico, to tie the game, 8-8, with 1:53 to play in the first frame. Saint Vincent scored with under 30 seconds left and led 9-8 at intermission.
The Bearcats started the second half with two-straight goals to lead 11-8 with 27 minutes on the clock. The Titans, however, took their first lead of the contest, 12-11, after a 4-0 run, capped off with a goal by D'Amico (24:29). Saint Vincent went on a 5-1 run to take a 16-13 lead with 17 minutes to go. A goal by Braddock at the 16:37 mark brought Westminster within one goal of Saint Vincent's lead (16-15), however, that would be the closest Westminster would get as the Bearcats outscored the Titans, 6-3, for the remainder of the game, including a 6-0 run.
Both teams had 28 shots-on-goal. Westminster had the advantage in ground balls (25-21) and free position shots (9-8), while the Bearcats led in draw controls, 23-18. Braddock gathered in a game-high eight ground balls. Titan first-year goalkeeper

Westminster will close out the regular season on Saturday April 28 with a home contest against ORLC foe Thomas More College at 12 p.m. for Senior Day.
