DUBOIS, Pa. – The Westminster College baseball team won, 6-3, at Penn State DuBois in a nine-inning, non-conference game Thursday night.
Sophomore
Jaret Johnson (Niles, OH / Niles McKinley) broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh inning with a two-out grand slam, putting the Titans in front 6-2. Johnson now has two home runs on the year, tying first on the team.
For the game, Johnson went 3-for-4, with four RBIs and two runs scored. Johnson also came in the ninth inning for the save, his team-high third on the year. Junior
Hunter Alexander (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) went 2-for-4, with an RBI-double, while sophomore
Vince Guerrieri (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe) went 2-for-4, with a run.

Dante Parente (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) started the game and went three innings, giving up two runs (both unearned). Junior

Sam Hockenberry (Burgettstown, PA / Burgettstown), sophomore
Emilio Rivera (Tampa, FL / Armwood), and sophomore
Marcus Masters (Warren, OH / Warren G Harding) all threw one scoreless inning. Masters (1-0) earned the win.
The Titans improved to 9-7 overall, while the Lions dropped to 17-7.
Westminster will next host Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Bethany College Saturday, April 14 in a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m.
