LAKELAND, Fla. – The Westminster College baseball team rallied from being behind 7-2 going into the bottom of the seventh inning to win, 9-8, over Penn. State Brandywine at historic Henley Field in Lakeland, Fla. Wednesday night.

Brandon Rossier (Wexford, PA / North Allegheny) went 5-for-5 with six RBIs, including a three-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning, giving the Titans their first lead of the game (9-7).
Penn State (2-8) led 1-0 after its first appearance at the plate in the first inning, however, Rossier answered in the bottom half with a double down the right field line, scoring
Vince Guerrieri (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe). Matt Masi put the Lions back in front, 3-1, with a two-run homerun in the third inning. Penn. State added another run in the frame off a wild pitch. In the bottom of the third, Rossier, brought home Guerrieri again, this time with a single, cutting Penn State's lead to 4-2. In the fifth, the Lions added two more runs, started by another homer by Masi, and added another run in the sixth and led 7-2. Joseph Salmen (New Castle, PA / Union) scored the final two Titan runs in the inning after a throwing error by Penn. State's second baseman, cutting Penn State's lead to 7-5.

Dante Parente (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) started off the eighth inning with a triple and scored two batters later off a sacrifice fly by freshman
Vincent Morelli (Ambridge, PA / Ambridge Area). Westminster got the bases loaded, all with two outs, and Rossier delivered once again with a three-run double to left center, for the game-winning it. The Lions attempted a ninth-inning rally as Brian Reynolds led off with a solo homerun and Brett Sheeran reached on a Titan error. Westminster sophomore pitcher
Dante Sienko (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland) sealed the win after retiring the next three batters. Sienko earned the first win of his collegiate career after coming in for relief. He pitched 4.0 innings, while giving up two runs on three hits. Siennko struck out three batters and walked two.
Westminster (3-2) is back on the field as it continues its Florida trip Friday, March 9 with a doubleheader against Medaille College. Game one is set to start at 9:45 a.m.
