NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team lost, 14-13, to non-conference foe Franciscan University at home Tuesday night.
Westminster (0-4) was down, 9-5, at halftime and came back to tie the game at 13 when sophomore
Bria Braddock (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) converted on a free-position shot with 3:13 remaining in the game. The goal was Braddock's seventh of the game, tying a career-high. Less than a minute later, Franciscan (4-1) scored the go-ahead score after Elizabeth McEntee found the back of the net. Westminster outscored Franciscan, 9-5, in the second half.
Braddock totaled a career-high eight points as she also earned an assist. Titan junior
Emily D'Amico (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) also registered a career-high in points with seven, including a career-high six goals and an assist. Sophomore
Cortlynn Douds (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk) added an assist.
Franciscan led, 13-9, with 11:28 to play, before Westminster went on a 4-0 run, led by Braddock with three goals.

Matalyn Holland (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler Area) gathered in five saves in a complete-game effort.
The Titans outshot the Barons, 27-23, and also had a 10-3 advantage in free-position shots. Additionally, Westminster had 16 groundballs to Franciscan's 13. Braddock collected a game-high five groundballs.
Westminster will next host Chatham University in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) action Friday, March 30 at 7 p.m.
