NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College football team won, 49-7, over Thiel College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action for its Homecoming game on Saturday.
The Titans improved to 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the PAC, while the Tomcats dropped to 0-7 overall and 0-6 in conference play.
Westminster was winning 14-0 at the end of the first quarter and 35-0 after three quarters of play. The Titans held a 49-0 lead in the fourth quarter, before Thiel spoiled the shutout with a late touchdown. The 42-point win margin marked the highest for the Titans this season.
Junior quarterback
Augustus Necastro (Brookfield, OH / Brookfield) went 14-of-24 with 239 yards through the air, his highest yard total in a Titan uniform, and two touchdowns (tying his season high). Junior
Connor Cox (Ridge, MD / Leonardtown) tied a career-high seven catches for a game- and career-best 149 yards receiving. Senior
Bryson Paulinellie (DuBois, PA / Dubois Area) tied a career-best with a game- and career-high two touchdown receptions. Junior
Keano Grice (Delray Beach, FL / West Boca Raton) and senior
Shamon Walker (Pittsburgh, PA / Milton Hershey) each had a rushing score. Junior
Bryce Hill (Boynton Beach, FL / Boca Raton Community) led the Titans with 64 yards on the ground off eight carries (8.0 avg.) and tallied a career-high two rushing touchdowns.

Joey Lane (Frederick, MD / Oakdale) led the defense with eight tackles. Freshman

Miguel Luis (Hollywood, FL / Mater Academy) each had seven tackles. Junior
Garrett Bishop (Fombell, PA / Riverside) earned a game-high 1.5 sacks. Junior
Aaron Pierce (Fort Lauderdale, FL / Hollywood) returned an interception 98 yards for a touchdown, his second pick-six of the year. Pierce is now tied for a team-high three interceptions on the season.
Westminster outgained Thiel in total yards, 413 (239 passing, 174 rushing) – 204 (143 passing, 61 rushing).
Westminster will host nationally-ranked Washington & Jefferson College Saturday, October 20 at 1 p.m.
