NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's soccer team shut out Defiance College, 4-0, in a non-conference match at home Friday night.

Ahmed Cisse (Germantown, MD / Clarksburg) scored the first goal, his team-leading third on the season, with a one-touch shot off his left foot after freshman
Nick Iregui (Gig Harbor, WA / Charles Wright Academy) found him with the assist at the 23:21 mark in the first half. Westminster took its 1-0 lead into halftime.
Westminster pulled away in the second half with three more goals off only nine shots. Iregui scored first, his second on the season, with a shot from the right side of the box with 57:07 on the clock; junior
Shane Fallen (Blue Bell, PA / Wissahickon) earned the assist. Titan senior
Kornel Foremski (Shaker Heights, OH / Shaker Heights) extended Westminster's lead to 3-0 with a through ball to classmate
Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) who placed the ball into the top right corner of the net with 19:58 left to play; Clark now has two goals on the season. Less than three minutes later, Clark was on the assist end with a corner kick pass to sophomore
Paul Kellar (Cortland, OH / Maplewood) who headed the ball into the far post for the first collegiate goal of his career.

AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) collected two saves in 75:53 minutes of work.
For the game, Westminster outshot Defiance, 26-5 (including 17-4 in the first half) and a 15-3 advantage in shots-on-goal.
The Titans improved to 2-1-1 overall, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to the same.
Westminster is back in action with a non-conference contest at the University of Mount Union on Saturday, September 9 at 3 p.m.
