Men’s Soccer: Titans Fall to Hiram, 1-0

Box Score HIRAM, Ohio – The Westminster College men's soccer team lost, 1-0, to Hiram College in its final day of the Hiram Tournament on Sunday.
 
The Titans dropped to 0-1-1 overall on the season, while the Terriers improved to 1-1-0.
 
Hiram's Giovanni Meza scored the game's lone goal at the 60:11 mark of the second half.
 
Titan junior goalkeeper AJ Bove (New Stanton, PA / Hempfield Area) (1-1) collected eight saves in 90 minutes of work.
 
The Titans outshot the Terriers, 13-12, and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Titan junior Shane Fallen (Blue Bell, PA / Wissahickon) led Westminster with four shots and tied with senior Fedja Smajic (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) for a team-high two shots on goal.
 
Westminster is back on the field Wednesday, September 6 for its home opener against Penn State Altoona at 5 p.m.
