Volleyball: Titans Win Both PAC Matches at Thiel Tri-Match

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team won both Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matches at Thiel College's tri-match on Saturday.
 
The Titans shut out Thiel, 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-11), and won, 3-1 (25-23, 10-25, 25-15, 25-15), over Bethany College for their seventh-straight victory. The shutout marked Westminster's seventh for the season.
 
Against the Tomcats (7-5, 1-1 PAC), Titan junior Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) earned a match-high eight kills, followed by seniors Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) (6) and Kendell Dickson (Cochranton, PA / Cochranton) (6). Sophomore Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) totaled a match-best four service aces, while Yoho had three. Yoho also tallied a match-high two blocks, while sophomore Haley Farmerie (Manor, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) and Dickson each had one. Juniors Shanna Daniels (Hermitage, PA / Billy C. Ryan) and Ashley Barker (Warren, PA / Warren Area) each dished out a team-high seven assists. Dickson led the Titan defense with 16 digs, followed by DeGeorge (13) and Daniels (12).
 
Against the Bison (6-4, 1-1 PAC), Yoho registered a match-high 16 kills. DeGeorge and Saxton added eight and five kills, respectively. Dickson earned a match- and career-high 27 digs. DeGeorge registered a season-high 24 digs, while Daniels also had a season-high with 15.  Daniels also tallied a match-high 19 assists. Farmerie added a match-best three blocks, followed by Yoho (2) and Saxton (2).
 
Westminster (9-1, 4-0 PAC) is back in action Wednesday, September 20 with a home match against Grove City College with a 7 p.m. start time.
