WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's lacrosse team lost, 15-9, at Washington & Jefferson College in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) action Wednesday night.
The Presidents led 8-3 at halftime and outscored the Titans 7-6 in the second half. Westminster netted the final four goals.
Sophomore
Ryan Shorts (Westlake Village, CA / Oak Park) led the Titan offense with four points, courtesy of a team-high three goals and an assist. Freshman
Adrian Culp (Gaithersburg, MD / Quince Orchard) (two goals) and freshman Tyler Nordby (Burnt Hills, NY / Burnt Hills) (one goal and one assist) each registered two points. Freshman
Dante Serra (Center Valley, PA / Southern Lehigh), freshman
Chris Ryczaj (Pittsburgh, PA / Central Catholic), and sophomore
Luke Ostoyic (Kentson, OH / Kenston) each added a goal, while freshman
Chris Slater (Pittsburgh, PA / Central Catholic) earned an assist.
Westminster dropped to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference, while the Presidents improved to 5-10 overall and 4-3 in the ORLC.
W&J outshot Westminster 50-44, including 33-27 on goal, and held a 41-32 advantage in ground balls. Ryczaj gathered in a game-high nine ground balls. Titan sophomore goalkeeper
Carter Hall (Zeeland, MI / Zeeland West) collected 18 saves in a complete-game effort.
The Titans are back in action Saturday, April 22 for their last home game of the regular season against Hanover College, starting at 12 p.m.
