NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College softball team swept Bethany College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader at home on Wednesday.

Entering today's doubleheader, both teams were unbeaten in the conference.

The Titans shut out the Bison, 3-0, in game one and won, 2-1, in game two.

In game one, junior Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley) brought in the first Titan run in the second inning with an RBI-single, scoring sophomore Cheyenne Shifflett (Etters, PA / Trinity). Senior Checka Nardone (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) added insurance in the fifth inning with a two-run single to center field, bringing home junior Hannah Ritter (Front Royal, VA / Skyline) and junior Addie Dieterich (Purcellville, VA / Loudoun Valley). Titan junior pitcher Jazmyn Rohrer (Purcellville, VA / Woodgrove) threw a two-hit-shutout, her third shutout on the year, while improving to 11-0. She struck out five and walked two.

In the second game, Bethany (12-14, 6-2 PAC) led 1-0 in the first inning after Sammie Weiss scored on a Titan error.
