NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams hosted Allegheny College in a non-conference dual meet Saturday afternoon.
The Titan men defeated the Gators, 187-113, while the Titan women were outdueled by the Allegheny women, 196.5-102.5. The men improved to 2-0 on the season, while the women fell to 1-1.

Connor May (Highlands Ranch, CO / Glacier Park) swept the competition with two first place finishes in both the 1-meter dive (245.35) and the 3-meter dive (285.40), qualifying him for NCAA Regionals.
The first men's race of the meet was a first-place finish for junior
David Peffer (Ellwood City, PA / Riverside), sophomore
Thomas Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City), and seniors
Brad Kolesar (West Mifflin, PA / West Mifflin) and
Mitch Stahara (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) in the 400-yard medley relay (4:09.65). The other relay victory for the men came in the 200-yard freestyle, where Stahara and senior Daniel Bogan (Canfield, OH / Canfield), junior
Michael Spencer (Clearfield, PA / Clearfield), and sophomore
Matt Kwalick (Sewickley, PA / Quaker Valley) swam a first-place time of 1:29.05.
Stahara placed first in both the 200 freestyle (1:48.52) and the 100 freestyle (47.75). Spencer finished first in both the 50 freestyle (22.16) and the 100 butterly (54.76). Peffer won the 100 backstroke, swimming a time of 55.45 and also placed first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.07.
For the Titan women, senior
Megan Douds (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:29.93, while sophomore
Abigail Jones (Cabot, PA / Knoch) placed first in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:10.98. Douds also had a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:21.69) and in the 500 freestyle (5:37.91). Jones also placed second in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.69) and in the 200 IM (2:20.52).
Westminster is back in action on Saturday, November 11 at The College of Wooster. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
