BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 8-1, over Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Saint Vincent College on Saturday. The Titan home match was played at Boardman Tennis Courts.
Seniors
Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) and
Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) were both recognized for recently earning their 100
th career win at Westminster.
Westminster improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the PAC. The Bearcats dropped to 3-3 and 1-2 in the conference.
Junior
Gabriele Eaborn (Coraopolis, PA / West Allegheny) won at number one singles 6-1, 1-6, 10-7. Eaborn also teamed up with Sterner for an 8-4 win at number one doubles. Sterner won number two singles, 7-6, 6-0.
The Titans will next travel to Division II Alderson Broaddus University tomorrow, September 18 with a start time of 11:30 AM. The match will be played at Morgantown Racquet Club.
