CLARION, Pa. – The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 5-4, at Clarion University in its regular season finale in a non-conference match on Sunday.
Westminster (13-5) won number two and four singles and swept the doubles competition.
Titan junior
Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) won 6-2, 6-3 at number two singles and teamed up with classmate
Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) for an 8-6 win at number one doubles.
The Titans will next compete at the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, which takes place in Kalamazoo, Mich. from May 23-28 at Stowe Stadium. Westminster won the NCAA automatic qualifier as it was crowned co-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Champions in October.
