NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College baseball team lost, 7-2, to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Grove City College in a nine-inning game on Friday.
Grove City (13-5, 5-1 PAC) led 6-0 going into the bottom of the fifth inning. In the bottom of the fifth, Titan sophomore
Brandon Rossier (Wexford, PA / North Allegheny) doubled to left field, after coming in to pinch-hit, his second double of the season. Freshman
Nick Ford (Forest Hill, MD / North Harford) then singled to left field, advancing Rossier to third. Freshman
Travis Lauster (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) followed with an RBI-single down the right field line, scoring Rossier.
The Wolverines added another run in the top of the seventh to extend their lead to 7-1. Titan junior
Sean Coyne (New Castle, PA / New Castle) singled to left field in the bottom of the eighth, scoring freshman
Joseph Salmen (New Castle, PA / Union).

Kyle Borton (Mineral Ridge, OH / Mineral Ridge) (1-3) pitched four innings, while giving up six runs (five earned) on eight hits. He struck out two and walked the same.
Westminster (2-14, 0-4 PAC) will next play at Grove City tomorrow in a doubleheader. Game one is set to start at 1 p.m.
