BETHANY, W. Va. – The Westminster College men's basketball team won, 83-58, at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Bethany College Monday night.
Titan junior
Jarret Vrabel (Canfield, OH / Canfield) scored a game- and career-high 20 points. Senior
Jason Pilarski (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) tallied a season-high 19 points, including a game-high five made three-pointers. Freshman
Cameron Kane-Johnson (Niles, OH / Niles) added a career-high 18 points, while junior
Deontay Scott (Youngstown, OH / East) netted 10. Junior
Brandon Domenick (New Castle, PA / New Castle) contributed with eight points. Vrabel and Scott each had a game-high nine rebounds, while senior
Cameron Pozsgai (Windham, OH / Windham) had eight. Kane-Johnson dished out a career-best six assists, followed by Domenick with five. Pilarski also pocketed a game- and career-high six steals.
The Titans improved to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the PAC, while the Bison dropped to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Westminster outshot Bethany 46.0% (29-63) to 36.5% (19-52) and outrebounded the Bison 46-25.
Bethany was up by nine points twice in the first half and led 20-12 with 9:29 on the clock. The Titans responded with a 9-0 run to take their first lead of the game, 21-20, with 6:46 to play. Westminster outscored the Bison 16-4 for the remainder of the half and led 37-24 at halftime. The Titans maintained their double-digit lead for the remainder of the game and had their largest lead (83-55) with 18 seconds left.
Westminster will next travel to Muskingum University on Thursday, December 22 with a 7 p.m. start time.
