Volleyball: Titans Split Matches at Grove City Tri-Match

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Westminster College volleyball team split its two matches at Grove City College's tri-match on Saturday.
 
Westminster (13-15, 6-9 PAC) won 3-1 (25-21, 27-25, 16-25, 25-19) over Grove City in match one and lost, 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 29-27), to The College of Wooster in the second match.
 
Against Grove City (10-17, 7-8 PAC), junior Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) led the Titan offense with 10 kills, followed by senior Katie Pricener (Wilmerding, PA / Serra Catholic) (8) and junior Kendell Dickson (Cochranton, PA / Cochranton) (7). Yoho also had a team-high two service aces and a match-high six blocks. Sophomore Ashley Barker (Warren, PA / Warren Area) dished out a match-high 21 assists, followed by first-year Molly Parker (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) (15). Senior Megan Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) and first-year Reilly DeGeorge (Ashtabula, OH / Saint John) led the Westminster defense with 20 and 19 digs respectively. Barker added 14 digs.
 
Against Wooster (16-7), first-year Logan Daggy (East Rochester, OH / United Local) led the Westminster offense with six kills, followed by sophomores Nikki Beatty (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk) and Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) with four apiece. Junior Callie Jacobs (Pittsburgh, PA / Bishop Canevin) registered a team-high four blocks. Parker earned a team-best eight assists, while first-year Alyssa Peters (Shelocta, PA / West Shamokin) had seven. Sophomore Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) led the Titan defense with a match-high 13 digs, followed by Daggy (11).
 
Westminster is back in action Tuesday, October 25 with a home match versus Washington & Jefferson College at 7 p.m.
