WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Sophomore
Kristine Fromknecht (Erie, PA / McDowell) led the Titans with 11 points and seven rebounds in the Westminster College women's basketball team's 75-51 loss at Waynesburg University in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Saturday night.
Waynesburg (3-5, 2-1 PAC) led 19-9 after the first quarter and 38-19 at halftime. Waynesburg extended its lead to 59-28 after out-scoring Westminster 21-9 in the third. The Titans (0-7, 0-3 PAC) finished the game outscoring the Yellow Jackets 23-16 in the final quarter.
Also scoring in double-digits for Westminster were first-year Annie Popoff (Erie, PA / Mercyhurst Prep) and sophomore
Paige Quinn (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler) with 10 points each. Quinn netted a team-high three three-pointers to go along with five boards. Junior
Rachel Durbin (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) had five points while sophomore
Danielle Dindak (West Homestead, PA / Serra Catholic) registered team-highs in assists (2) and steals (4).
Westminster will next play La Roche College (6-2) at home next Saturday at 2 p.m.
