Box Score NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Senior Matthew Kiernan's (Venetia, PA / Upper St. Clair) two goals guided the Westminster College men's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Bethany College on Senior Day on Saturday.

Kiernan scored the first goal in the 8th minute after classmate Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) found him off a corner kick.

Titan senior Cody Postupac (Export, PA / Penn Trafford) connected with Marcus Gurgiolo (Edinburg, PA / Mohawk) at the 21:13 mark, extending Westminster's lead to 2-0.  Gurgiolo now has eight goals on the year.

Bethany cut the Titans' lead to 2-1 after a goal in the 86:56 mark in the second half.

Kiernan scored his second goal in the 87th minute, bringing his total to eight on the season.

Titan senior goalkeeper Tyler Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) earned the win after going the complete game and earning six saves.

Westminster improved to 8-5-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Bison dropped to 5-10-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the conference.

The Titans will next play at Washington & Jefferson College on Tuesday for their final regular game of the season. The start time is set for 5:30 p.m.
