GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College volleyball team shutout Thiel College, 3-0, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on the road Thursday.
The shutout was Westminster's eighth of the season.
The Titans won set one, 25-15, set two, 25-17, and set three, 25-18.
Senior
Megan Prybyl (Mars, PA / North Catholic) led Westminster with a double-double, which included a match-high 20 digs and 10 kills. Sophomore
Lexie Yoho (Pittsburgh, PA / Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) and sophomore
Callie Jacobs (Pittsburgh, PA / Bishop Canevin) registered 13 and seven kills, respectively. First-year
Shanna Daniels (Edinburg, PA / Billy C. Ryan, TX) led the Titans with 16 assists, while senior
Tiffany Jackson (Las Vegas, NV / Las Vegas) had 13.
Two additional Titans tallied double-digit digs, led by first-year
Rachel Moore (Greensburg, PA / Greensburg Central Catholic) with 14. Daniels added 13 digs. First-year
Delaney Saxton (Cortland, OH / Brookfield) led the defense with a match- and career-high five blocks, followed by Yoho with four.
Westminster improved to 9-23 overall and 6-9 in the PAC, while Thiel dropped to 3-23 overall and 3-11 in the conference.
The Titans are in back in action Saturday when they travel to Waynesburg University for an 11 a.m. match.
