Box Score NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team remained undefeated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) after a 4-0 shutout over the visiting Saint Vincent College Bearcats on Saturday.
All four of Westminster's goals came in the second half.
Junior Jon Clark (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) registered the first goal, his first of the season, after receiving a cross in the box from senior
Marcus Gurgiolo (Edinburg, PA / Mohawk). Less than three minutes later, Gurgiolo added a score of his own, bringing the score to 2-0 in favor of the Titans. He now has a team-leading seven goals on the season.
Sophomore
Grant Gagnon (Johnstown, PA / Westmont Hilltop) extended Westminster's lead to 3-0 after scoring his first goal of his collegiate career in the 75th minute. Sophomore
Fedja Smajic (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) added another Titan goal, his second on the season, after receiving a pass from freshman
Justin Brandt (Elliott City, MD / Archbishop Spalding) at the 88:57 mark.
Titan senior goalkeeper
Tyler Little (Slippery Rock, PA / Slippery Rock) won his seventh game on the year after a complete-match effort, while earning two saves.
For the game, Westminster out-shot Saint Vincent, 32-7.
Westminster improved to 7-2-3 overall and 2-0-1 in the PAC, while the Bearcats dropped to 1-11-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the conference.
The Titans will next host Grove City College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
