Men's Soccer: Titans Lose in Overtime to Undefeated CMU

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team lost its first home match of the season, losing 2-1 in overtime against undefeated Carnegie Mellon in nonconference action. The Tartans scored the game-winning goal on a Westminster "own goal" in the 94th minute.

Westminster falls to 1-2-2 and Carnegie Mellon improves to 5-0.

Freshman forward David Osae (Bedford, Texas/Lawrence D. Bell) scored the Titans' lone goal. His third goal of the season in the 24th minute gave Westminster a 1-0 lead.

Max Betzig tied the game for Carnegie Mellon in the 53rd minute on a penalty kick.

Westminster senior goalkeeper Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) made eight saves as the Tartans outshot the Titans, 10-6.

The Titans return to action at Point Park on Tuesday at 7 p.m
