Men's Soccer: Baldwin-Wallace Tops Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team lost to a surging Baldwin-Wallace team, 3-2, at home on Saturday in non-conference action.

The Titans fall to 5-5 on the season and the Yellow Jackets win their fourth straight to improve to 4-5.

Baldwin-Wallace scored two goals within a minute to take a 2-0 lead when Carlin Vandendriessche scored the first of his two goals of the game at the 19:45 mark before Tyler Leister potted a goal at 20:32.

Westminster answered quickly when junior Aaron Zavora (Westmoreland City, Pa./Norwin) scored his fourth goal of the season at the 23:14 mark.

Vandendriessche scored early in the second half to put B-W up 3-1.

Sophomore Tyler Ryan (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) scored a late goal for Westminster.

Sophomore Jake Huey (Butler, Pa./Butler) assisted on both Westminster goals giving him two for the season.

Westminster plays at Fredonia State on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
