Men's Soccer: Titans Cruise Past Pitt-Greensburg

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team defeated Pitt-Greensburg, 5-1, at home Wednesday in non-conference action.

Westminster improves to 5-2 on the season, while the Bobcats drop to 1-5 overall.

Five different Titans registered goals in the game, led by senior forward Ian Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Catholic) with a goal and an assist. Hill scored in the eighth minute and assisted on a goal by classmate Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) in the 10th minute. Hill and Lott are tied for the team lead with four goals apiece.

The remainder of the scoring ledger for Westminster included goals by junior Aaron Zavora (Westmoreland City, Pa./Norwin) in the 37th minute, sophomore Coty Hainsey (New Paris, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) in the 55th minute, and senior Jarred Smeltzer (Wilmerding, Pa./East Allegheny) in the 62nd minute. Zavora and Smeltzer each have three goals this year and Hainsey has two.

Westminster hosts Case Western Reserve Saturday at 1 p.m.
