GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team improved to 2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with a 3-0 win at Thiel on Wednesday. The Titans are now 7-9 overall, while Thiel falls to 5-11-1 overall and 0-5 in the PAC.
Senior Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) opened the scoring with his seventh goal of the season in the 34th minute. Senior Ian Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Catholic) tied Lott for the team lead with his seventh goal of the season in the 55th minute on an assist from sophomore Tyler Ryan (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield).
Freshman Mike Belshay (Beltsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) closed the scoring with his first career goal in the 89th minute.
Junior goalkeeper Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) posted his first shutout of the season by making one save.
Westminster outshot the Tomcats, 14-1.
The Titans travel to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday at 3 p.m.
