NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team lost to unbeaten Carnegie Mellon, 4-0, Saturday at home in non-conference action.
Senior midfielder Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll) led the Titans with four of his team's 10 shots, while sophomore goalkeeper Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) gave up four goals and made four saves.
The Tartans (6-0-1) scored two goals in the first half, including Patrick Lutz in the 19th minute and Adam Bogus in the 43rd. Lutz potted his fourth goal of the season and second of the game in the 55th minute and Ryan Browne added CMU's fourth tally in the 59th minute.
Westminster's record drops to 5-3 on the year. The Titans will host Penn State-Beaver on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
