ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's and women's soccer teams defeated Penn State-Behrend on the road Saturday in non-conference action. Both Westminster teams won by scores of 2-1.
Senior forward Christina Adams (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) scored her fourth goal of the season and her third game-winning goal of the 2008 campaign when she potted a goal in the second half to solve a 1-1 tie. Sophomore forward Sarah Nee (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) scored the first goal of the game in the first half.
The Titans women are now 4-1-1 on the season while Penn State-Behrend drops to 0-4-1 on the year.
On the men's side, senior midfielder Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll) scored his team-leading fourth and fifth goals of the season in the first half before the Lions tacked on a goal late in the second half.
The Titans are now 5-2 on the season, while Behrend's record drops to 3-3 on the year.
The Westminster men host Carnegie Mellon Saturday at 2 p.m. while the Titan women are at Allegheny on Tuesday.
