GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team secured a 3-0 non-conference win at Pitt-Greensburg Friday.
Senior Justin Rivas (Keller, Texas/Southlake Carroll) scored nine minutes into the contest on an assist from junior Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum). The Titans led 2-0 at halftime after freshman Coty Hainsey (New Paris, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) scored his fourth goal of the season in the 24th minute on an assist from senior Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll).
Junior Ian Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Catholic) scored late in the game on an assist from freshman Jake Huey (Butler, Pa./Butler).
Sophomore goalkeeper Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) made three saves in 78 minutes in net, while sophomore Lance Leathers (Pleasant Gap, Pa./Bellefonte) came in to make two saves and combine for the shutout.
Westminster held a 15-8 shot advantage. The Titans improve to 4-2 on the season and Pitt-Greensburg drops to 2-2. The Titans are at Penn State-Behrend Saturday at 3 p.m.
