WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team remained unbeaten in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with a 4-0 win at Waynesburg (3-13, 0-4 PAC) Wednesday.
The Titans (8-5-3, 3-0-1 PAC) took a 2-0 lead in the first half as senior forward Andrew Saporito (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season in the 21st and 35th minutes, the latter on an assist from senior midfielder Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll).
After Waynesburg put a goal in its own net to give the Titans a 3-0 lead, sophomore forward Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) scored on an assist from Horvath in the 76th minute.
Lott ties Horvath for a team-high 10 goals on the season. Horvath's two assists gives him a team-high 25 points on the season.
Freshmen goalkeepers Mike Codita (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and Lance Leathers (Pleasant Gap, Pa./Bellefonte) combined for the shutout with two and three saves, respectively, as the Titans out-shot the Yellow Jackets, 30-7.
Westminster will play at Grove City Saturday in PAC action beginning at 3:30 p.m.
