UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Westminster College men's soccer team outlasted John Carroll on Friday night in overtime, 2-1, in the first of two road non-conference games for the Titans this weekend.
Freshman Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) scored the game-winner in the 96th minute on an assist from junior Andrew Saporito (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford).
Saporito tied the game with his team-leading fourth goal of the season when he scored off a Blake Ordell (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) assist in the 56th minute.
John Carroll's Alex Bernot opened the scoring in the 16th minute on an assist from Jeff Kosek. John Carroll (0-3-2) outshot the Titans, 18-11.
Titan junior goalkeeper Anthony Beilstein (Butler, Pa./Knoch) stopped five shots to earn the win.
Westminster (4-2-2) returns to action Saturday at Oberlin for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
