NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at home against Washington & Jefferson Saturday in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
The match was the first conference of the season that counts toward league standings as the Titans fall to 5-4-2 on the season and 0-1 in the PAC. W&J is now 2-0-1 in the league and 4-5-3 overall.
The lone goal came in the 46th minute when the Presidents' Brian Witkovitz beat Titan goalkeeper Anthony Beilstein (Butler, Pa./Knoch) on an assist by Ryan McDonald.
Beilstein made 13 saves as he faced 15 shots. W&J goalkeeper Tyler Hodgins registers the shutout with eight saves while facing 13 shots.
Junior Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll) led the Titans with four shots.
