Tony Pizon was an outstanding cross country and track and field athlete for the Titans during his four years from 1993-97. He was voted most valuable performer on the cross country team all four years and qualified for the NAIA cross country nationals in 1993, 1994 and 1995.
He earned all-conference status all four years including three years on the first team. Pizon also set school records in indoor track in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters. He was a third-team Academic All-American in track during the 1997 season, as well as an NAIA cross country Academic All-American in 1995.
A 1997 recipient of the David B. Fawcett Award as Outstanding Senior Athlete, Pizon officially earned 12 letters: four in both track and cross country and four more as manager of the basketball team.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Pizon is a physician who currently resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, the former Caryn Mehalik, and their 2-year-old son Benjamin.
