A 1970 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II champion, Mike was a key contributor to the 10-0 championship team and played under legendary head coach and Hall of Famer Harold Burry. On Dec. 5, 1970 before 5,000 fans at New Castle's Taggart Stadium the Titans toppled Anderson (Ind.), 21-16, in the inaugural NAIA title tilt.
