Joe "Ron" Frisco punctuated his career on the Westminster College football team by leading the Titans to a 46-20 win over Carnegie Tech to give the team its third straight West Penn Conference title.
A 5-foot-6, 180-pound right guard who wore No. 20 and captained the Titans for the 1960 season, Frisco was named first-team all-conference during his junior and senior years as well as earning Little All-American honors as a senior.
The 1960 prospectus described Frisco as a "rugged and speedy guard who will be the bulwark of the line." During Frisco's sophomore, junior and senior seasons the Titans compiled a 17-7 record including the three conference titles under head coach Harold Burry.
A native of Pittsburgh and a West View High School graduate, Frisco graduated from Westminster in 1961 with a degree in business administration. He is currently retired and living in Jacksonville, Fla. He and his wife Diane have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
