The most productive player in the history of Westminster College softball, Bethany Pinkerton Mitcheltree played for the Titans from 1998-2001. And the record book clearly shows it. Mitcheltree, a standout pitcher for head coach Jan Reddinger, holds the following school records: career games played (175), career at bats (545), career runs (124), career hits (165) as a batter and career shutouts (28) and strikeouts (520) as a pitcher. She also holds five school records for single season marks, while her 1.15 earned run average in 2000 ranked 40th in the nation.
A three-time team MVP, Mitcheltree's teams went 105-70 during her four years, including a school-record 32-13 record during her senior year in which the Titans advanced to the ECAC Tournament.
Mitcheltree was a 2001 Westminster graduate with a degree in business administration. A Darlington, Pa., native and graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Mitcheltree resides in Imperial, Pa., and she is a senior sales supervisor for First Investors Corporation. She and her husband Matthew Mitcheltree are expecting their first child.
