Entering her 27th season with Westminster for the 2022 season, Reddinger boasts a 27-year record of 631-387-2 (.618) with the Titans and a 29-year career mark of 687-449-2 (.603).

The longest tenured and winningest softball coach in Westminster College history, Jan Reddinger won her 500th career game with the Titans in 2018. Having won at least 17 games in all 25 full seasons with the team, Reddinger’s teams are contenders every year. Westminster has averaged 24 wins per season with Reddinger as coach, including twelve postseason appearances and conference championships in 1997, 1998 and 2005.
In the 2021 season, the Titans set a new program-record for most wins in a season (33) with a conference record of 16-2 and earned the top-seed for the PAC Tournament.
In 2019, after starting the season 10-16, the Titans rattled off eight consecutive victories, including a sweep of top-seeded Saint Vincent College in their last regular season doubleheader to qualify for the PAC Championship Tournament. Westminster has qualified for the PAC Tournament 13 times (four-straight) in the 16 years it has been eligible under Reddinger. The Titans have accumulated two consecutive winning seasons under Reddinger’s guidance.

In 2018, Westminster tied a school record with 19 straight wins. The Titans finished with a perfect 13-0 record at home and recorded a 28-10 overall record as well as a 16-2 conference record. Westminster earned a berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship, making it to the semi-finals.

In 2011, Reddinger became the 51st softball coach in NCAA Division III history to reach 400 career wins. In 2016, she became the 29th active head softball coach in NCAA Division III with at least 500 wins.

Under Reddinger, the Titans have earned 97 All-Conference honors* including three PAC Player of the Year award winners (Jennifer Pancake/2004 & 2007, Jazmyn Rohrer/2018). Additionally, Reddinger has coached two All-Americans, thirteen Academic All-District recipients, nine NFCA Division III All-Central Region winners and seven ECAC Division III South Region All-Stars/All-ECAC.  *Westminster was eligible for All-PAC awards starting in 2003.

Reddinger led Westminster to its first Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) title in 2005, while also piloting the team to postseason appearances in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Championships in 2005 and 2007. Reddinger was also named PAC Coach of the Year in 2005 and in 2007.

In her first and second seasons at the helm of Westminster softball in 1997 and 1998, Reddinger led the Titans to their fifth and sixth straight conference/district crowns, including a trip to the NAIA Northeast Regional Tournament in 1998. Reddinger’s 2001 team also qualified for the ECAC Division III playoffs after setting team records for wins (32) and consecutive wins (17) in a season with a 32-13 record.

In addition to her softball duties, Reddinger serves as a physical education instructor at Westminster. She previously served as an assistant coach of the Titan women’s soccer program and the head women’s basketball coach for four years.

Prior to coming to Westminster, Reddinger served as head softball coach and assistant basketball coach at La Roche College. Reddinger has a bachelor of arts degree in physical/health education from West Liberty State College, where she played both softball and basketball. She earned a master’s degree in physical education/sports administration from Eastern Illinois University. Reddinger was inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.Â
